Does Lowes Sell Oversized Air Conditioning Units?

01 Oct

As a consumer organization we are inquiring into the question as to whether Lowe’s is intentionally selling over-sized air conditioning units in order to maximize profits. We have sent numerous requests to the local Lowe’s store manager Ryan Malgado. Ryan never responded to our in depth inquiries requesting Lowes official position. In mid September we also sent request to Robert Nimlock, the CEO of Lowe’s. As of this date, we have not received any position papers from Lowe’s.

It is our position that Lowe’s sold to myself, an over sized unit. Oversized air conditioning units obviously cost the consumer more money up front. What many consumers do not know is that the units are also more inefficient and also fail to properly draw out humidity. We are still awaiting an answer from Lowe’s.

New Year 2012 – Or Is It?

04 Jan
Is it really a New Year?
Every year for the last twenty or more years, I have published the following article. I simply change the date to reflect the change in years. But I ask members, and those thinking about becoming members if it will really be a “New Year” or will it be the same as last year?

The year may change, but have you as a person changed. Unless you make real changes within yourself, 2012 will not be a new year. It will just be a change in the calendar date. It will be a chronological change but nothing more. You life will still be the same. Your resolutions will fall away.
Because I am a success coach, motivator, and trainer, I want your life to change. I want you to succeed. I want 2012 to be a new year with real advancements in your life. So, as you read this article, I want you to really think and be honest with yourself. Will 2012 really be a New Year or will you wind up where you were last year?

      Starting Out Right

      by Paul Barrett
Chronologically, 2012 may be a new year, but in reality, when you think about it, is it really new? It seems to defy logic that people would call it a new year and then approach it with the same old negative attitudes, the same old negative habits, the same old negative friends, the same old negative dead-end job, and the same old negative and dreary existence. But that seems to be the story of human nature; for some mysterious reason, human beings are not always logical creatures. The truth is, 2011 will not be a new year unless you make it new! New means change!
To make 2012 a New Year you must change. You must turn over a new leaf and become a new person. You must become a person with personal power and the ability to make good on your new year resolutions.

          Resolutions and Change

Change is the key to making your new year resolutions more than empty words. Anyone can talk big. We hear it all the time, how someone is going to change his world:
            • I’m going to be rich
            • I’m going to be a success
            • I’ll spend more time with the family
•I’m going to improve my relationships
            • I’ll quite smoking• I’m going to spend less
            • I will stop using charge cards
            • I’m going to get out of debt
            • I will lose weight
You have heard it before. In fact, you may have been the one saying it! But how many people put action behind their words? Most don’t. As a result, their resolutions become meaningless breaths of air dissipating into another empty, un-empowering year.Their empty words drag them, one more rung, down the ladder of new year resolution’s foiled promises. Don’t you think it’s time to turn your resolutions into success? Aren’t you tired of being the star in a hard-luck movie? Playing the same loser role? Isn’t it time to replace negative programing and start making your new year resolutions a reality? I think it is and I think you can do it. But now it’s time for you to think and believe that you can do it, and then take action.

              Taking Action

A new year brings excitement and promise. Don’t let it fade into another old year. Make 2011 a year of success. There’s still time to overcome defeat and become a Winner.
Most people can’t do it alone. They need help in the form of guidance, motivation, and support.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

                        27 Dec

This post is a little late for Christmas, but I am still wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Like many of you, I found myself extremely busy for Christmas. With all the holiday affairs, I did not post anything for that precious day. But I want to remind you that Christmas is not just one day, it is a season – a season that should last through out the year as you spread the “Good News” and bring joy to others. Be thankful for the Christmas message and the child who was born on that special day. I wish you a belated Merry Christmas!

As far as a Happy New Year, that is yet to come. In five more days we will enter 2011 – another year. The question is, will it really be a New Year? Well that depends a lot on you. For most people, once their resolutions wear off, the New Year becomes just another year of empty resolutions that spin into a life of struggle and drudgery.

Whatever you wish to change in 2011 will require discipline and resolve. If you are like the average American, and you drift into 2011 with little more than empty new year resolutions, the New Year will decay into nothing more than another year of poor health, overweight dietary struggles, and financial debt and despair. The New Year will be just like the old year. Nothing will change or improve.

If you really want 2011 to be a New Year, stay posted and follow our blog, then become an IFI Member and attend a Financial Wisdom Seminar! Let me help you make 2011 a New Year and change the course of your life!

God bless you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

                        Protect Your Health

                        30 Nov

People are well aware of statements such as “your health is your greatest investment.” However, most people never follow the advice. That is sad and unfortunate.

I always believed that health is your greatest gift and should be protected at all costs. As the author of Financial Wisdom, I encounter people who are often unable to associate the importance of health in reference to money. But Financial Wisdom is and always has been about: Health, Happiness, and Prosperity. If you do not make efforts to protect and improve your health, you are not Financially Wise.

There are many people who are experiencing financial difficulties due to the state of the economy and the job market. Many of them are under great levels of stress. Health may be the last thing they are thinking about when the house is in foreclosure and the bills cannot be paid. I can understand that. However, the wise thing to do, even in dire financial circumstances is to focus on protecting your health. Money that is lost, a house that is foreclosed, a car that is repossessed, can usually be replaced. But health too often cannot be fixed if you destroy it. That is why I say, “Protect Your Health!”

If you are experiencing financial difficulties, spend time focusing on your health. Do whatever you can to protect it. Try to use de-stressing techniques, whether meditation, prayer, talks with friends and family, a long walk in the woods or the beach, etc. Try not to lose hope or dwell on the problem. Focus on the solution to finding a way out of your situation.

Do not try to drown the pain associated with your financial problems by using health destroying substances or practices. Do not use alcohol, drugs, or excessive eating. Stay away from health destroyers like sugar, caffeine, low quality fats. Stick to the basics and try to eat as healthy as possible. Also include low intensity exercise and don’t forget to take your vitamins. Even in the worse of financial circumstances, do whatever you can do to protect your health.

Remember, the 20% that you do to protect your health will reap 80% of the results. You do not have to do anything that is expensive or extreme to protect your health. In my seminars I go into great detail regarding health and offer various nutritional programs and supplements. What I have found is that focusing on the basic principles, keeping a positive attitude, reducing stress, and focusing on a new start can do more than all the fancy programs on earth. You are a valuable person treat yourself as such. Do all within your power to protect your health. Then when things turn around you will have preserved your most important asset – your health.

Stay positive and keep seeking wisdom.

                        Economic Recession

                        21 Aug

I created the Financial Wisdom Seminar™ in 1985. It is filled with principles that can help you in any economic circumstance. Individuals who have attended the Financial Wisdom Seminar and have employed the principles will actually benefit in any economic situation. In fact, an economic downturn can be a time of opportunity. Think about it, and look at all the bargains available.

During the current economic downturn, stock prices, housing prices are at low levels. If you look around, you can spot some real bargains. Guess who can take advantage of those bargains. Generally it is individuals who have managed their money properly prior to the downturn. Financial Wisdom can help you do that.

Now there are many things you cannot buy with money, including love. To be truly wise you must balance all areas of your life. The Financial Wisdom Seminar teaches you about money, but it also teaches you how to improve other areas of your life. The mission of Financial Wisdom Seminar and book is to help you achieve, health, happiness, and prosperity.

                        Wishing you Wisdom,
